12.01.02 :: 20:33

I finally got off my lazy butt and configured the computer that we got my bro for Christmas. It took me about 5 hours to get everything tweaked that I could get done at this time. I used the restore disc on the machine to put it back to factory default, pulled out the bad programs, loaded in infinitely more useful ones. (Who in their right mind uses Works when you have Word as an alternative?) I installed updates, service packs, yada yada, and all those 'little' utilities that make life that much better. What really blew me away was that the machine came from the factory with a burner, but no burning software o.O; I had to go track some down for him to use. I just know that Christmas day is going to be spent teaching him how to use his new toy ^^

I made it through the Lost City of Dipan last night. Augh, that was a nightmare. Just in case anyone else gets stuck: 10 Holy Crystals == 3 Dead Mages. To make the Holy Crystals use Burgundy Flasks or other types of Crystals (Flare, Shadow, etc.) Just keep transmuting them until you hit the Holy Crystal (they rotate through).

I had a really stupid user today! He called tech support livid because he had received an email from a mailer-daemon (a bounced email). I explained that it simply meant that the email didn't go and to try sending it again, but he wasn't happy at all. His problem? The email wasn't written in "English". Apparently techno-babble is it's own completely incomprehensible language and he wanted me to go onto the server that sent it (which wasn't one of ours) and make the bounce message 'plain English'. Uh... I can't do anything about that. He read it to me and it really wasn't that bad. It was your basic "I'm sorry, but I'm unable to deliver your message to [address] after trying for 24 hours." etc.

The problem didn't end there. I told him that I couldn't 'translate' every line in the email for him (it sent full headers) and he was mad because he didn't want me to translate it. He wanted it in stupiduserese. He then went on about how the message had come from Qmail (the server that sent the bounce was running Qmail). "What the hell is Qmail?! It's bad enough you leave us trying to figure out Email, but you've got Qmail as well!!!" Oh, he was not happy ^^; I told him not to worry about it, it really wasn't that important. His next bone to pick was that most people must misunderstand this daemon message. I stupidly commented that he was the first call I've ever received asking about it. "Are you calling me stupid?!" "Uh.. No, I'm just saying that no one's ever asked before..." Oops, oh well, he wasn't going to be happy no matter what I said.

On hindsight I should have taken the opportunity to really screw with his head. I should have told him that we're running an Imail server (we are). And then tell him that the Zmail server is the end of the Internet and his message must have traveled quite a ways to make it all the way to Qmail! Too bad I didn't think of that until after he hung up =/

Angelus Errare is closing down. I'll be sad to see it go, but I also understand the reasons behind it. The board isn't nearly as trafficked as it used to be and maintaining it can be expensive. Thanks for giving us all a place to meet and be social for so long Jackie. You were a great hostess and I appreciate it :)

I got more holiday stuff finished up. Sent letters to the grandparents and did a bit of online shopping. (If it's someone I expect to see within the next 3 months then I've already bought their gift and wrap it, else I'm buying them a gift online and having it shipped ^^; ) Yes, I'm lazy, bite me.

12.04.02 :: 20:43

Um.. I don't want to rag on my co-workers too much.. but it disturbed me when I saw two of them doing their best "blind leading the blind" impression this afternoon trying to figure out how to use WinZip o.O; Even my *family* has figured out how to use WinZip and they're not the most computer knowledgeable lot out there (not to rag on them either, but it's true ^^; )

12.05.02 :: 18:54

I was reading Myths of the Norsemen from the Eddas and Sagas last night to help BlackMage with a fanfic he's researching and learned a couple things. Friday is named after Freya's day, Thursday is Thor's day, and Tuesday is Tyr's (Tiu's) day. This book also says that Saturday isn't named after Saturn, but instead Sataere, the thief in ambush, which was another personification of Loki. (I'm not entirely sure I buy that one. Then again, this book was first published in 1909. I'm sure many scholars have slugged it out since then o.o )

Yesterday I'd sent an email to the company that holds my college loan to ask for another coupon book. They wrote back to me today saying that they *wouldn't* send me another book because of how far ahead I was paid. Um... okay, let me get this straight.. I owe your company several thousand dollars and you *don't* want me to send it until you're darn well good and ready? You people are stupid, period.

12.06.02 :: 20:49

Oi.. My day was going well until 4:55pm rolled around. That's when I set my phone to DND and then ran off to submit a trouble ticket to be processed on Monday. When I came back to my desk my phone was ringing (even though that shouldn't have happened, I was DND darn it!) I knew that the call wouldn't roll to another phone because, well, the phone system is set to screw me over ¬.¬ (Nothing personal, I know, but it is). So I picked up. That was my mistake. I spent the next 63 minutes on the line with a pissy customer whose computer was fuxored and nothing I could do would really *fix* it. After an hour of working on it I managed to coax it into working enough that I could get him off the line. Then I ran like my ass was on fire. Grrr...

A couple of the night techs laughed at my pain and teased that since I got Monday off it didn't really matter. Like hell I get Monday off, that's going to be a *very* busy day for me --; And it's not going to be a happy day either. No matter, I'm home now and I can spend the rest of the weekend vegging out on video games if I so desire.

12.08.02 :: 15:22

It's been a typical weekend for me ^^ Did chores, napped a lot, played video games, it's all good. I'm onto Chapter 8 in Valkyrie Profile. I don't think I'm going to finish the game this weekend, not if the monsters hand my butt to me like I suspect they will ^^; I'm actually sending out Christmas cards this year. I haven't done that in, well, I don't recall if I've *ever* done it. But since I'm not stressed about other aspects of the holiday (like shopping) I can spend an evening sending out greetings, right? ^^

12.09.02 :: 21:23

I really need to start December's archive, but not tonight. Going to do a quick (though not short) entry and then get some shut eye. It's been a way too busy day for me @.@

This first appointment of the day was for me. I went to the Dr. for an annual exam. I'm not sure if it went well or not. I didn't come through it squeaky clean healthy, but I won't know until some lab tests come back on whether there's anything to be concerned about. Right now, I'm going to not be concerned because I have plenty of other things to worry about!

After that I went to the post office to fire off a salvo of Christmas cards and pick up more postage. I was amazed that they had all six service windows open. I think that's the first time I've ever seen them working efficiently o.O It didn't take long as all to get through the long line and get what I needed done. As soon as I put the letters into the drop getbox my cell phone rang. It was my brother needing help with his computer ^^; I found an out of the way corner by the office of forestry to troubleshoot his issue (a bad floppy disk).

Next up was Pepper's visit to the vet. She's been doing better overall, but the new kibble the vet had her on gave her the runs ^^; He gave her two shots, some allergy medication, and changed her food again. All this was to the tune of $110 >.<; My brother owes me, oh yes he does...

Once I had Pepper back home again I headed down to the print shop. Dad's surgery had been moved up a few hours and mom didn't need me to watch the shop. After running a quick errand for her I went up to her apartment to take a nap (I hadn't gotten more then a couple hours of restless sleep last night). I walked up to the couch and ReRun spotted me. His tail instantly puffed, he started hissing and *growling*. Man, he was one very pissed cat. I sat on the couch for around 10-15 minutes as he went on and on with making his displeasure known. Then I took my boots and coat off, emptied my pockets on the table, stretched out, and ignored him. He eventually went away ^^; Too bad I still didn't get much restful sleep =|

During my nap my bro called to tell me that he'd found a gift for dad that we couldn't find in the valley. Wai, he'll be glad when he gets it ^^ Then mom called to say it was time to go to the hospital to visit dad. We went down there around the time the Dr. estimated that dad would be getting out of recovery. We found his room and then waited for an hour for them to wheel him in ^^;

Dad was groggy, tired, and in pain. I took hold of his left hand and he held tight onto it. The first thing he said was, "How am I to watch tv when there's an IV in the way?" Haha, that sort of good natured complaint (and him wanting to watch tv ^^; ) did a lot for reassuring me that he was okay. We left after visiting him for an hour so that he could sleep, then visited again this evening. Mom's going to visit him tomorrow morning and the two of us will see him when I get off work in the evening.

12.11.02 :: 20:05

Okay, I'm still lazy, byte me... or not ^^; Dad was allowed to leave the hospital today. They said he was too happy to be hanging around there. [laughs] I visited him at mom's apartment and he seems to be doing pretty well. He's still in good spirits, so that's all good :)

12.12.02 :: 09:25

Sleeping a solid 8 hours has been rough lately. I'm tossing and turning, having dreams, and waking up at all hours o.O; The last couple mornings I've woken up and my bedding was in a knot. It didn't help that I had to be up at 5am this morning for a training meeting in which we trained with a buggy piece of software. Blech!

12.13.02 :: 19:47

I should have known that with it being Friday the 13th there would be problems at work :P The DSL DoS attack that was hitting us resumed pounding the DNS servers as DSL customers came online. Augh, it was a pain 'cause you can't very well tell a business DSL customer that their own hacked router is the reason they're not online right now. In fact those customers were making things *worse* 'cause that router was attacking our server. Yeah, the local admins finally got everything cleaned up around noon-ish. So that was good.

I had the chance to speak with one of the admins up north twice today. The first time I contacted him it was because I was getting an error when I tried to run a script he wrote. He was pretty cool about figuring out why I couldn't execute it and fixing it :) Then that afternoon I had a different problem while running the same script. I reluctantly contacted him 'cause I know how most admins feel, "Peon tech, keep your grubby telnetted fingers out of my server!" But he wasn't that way. In fact, with the information I gave him between the two cases he was able to fix another bug. Yay, my pestering resulted in something good ^^

12.14.02 :: 22:28

I've given in to the fact that I'm sick --; I was trying to fight it off. Since I didn't start feeling ill until after I saw the Dr. on Monday I was thinking maybe it was the new medication he put me on, but a call to his nurse debunked that idea --; I just had a sour stomach on Thursday and Friday, but Friday night it got worse, blech. Didn't help this morning when Pepper jumped on me and then peed on the carpet. Stupid mutt, I'd only gotten a few hours of sleep when she'd done that --; When I did get to take a nap my dad called and woke me up. I succeeded in taking a nap in the afternoon and this evening my stomach seems to have settled down some. (I'm also taking it very easy; eating only the blandest of foods in limited quantities.. ^^; )

Dad and I were going to kidnap mom and go see Nemesis today, but I wasn't feeling up to it. Maybe we'll see it tomorrow if I'm feeling better. The company Christmas party is also tomorrow. I've already let a co-worker who's going to be there know that I might not make it. I'd like to, but... [shakes head]

I saw the first DVD of Strawberry Eggs tonight. It didn't latch onto me like Silent Mobius or Princess Nine did, but it was a nice 'feel good' anime (which is what I need right now ^^; ) I wouldn't mind seeing more of it, but I don't think I'll go out of my way to buy it. I also have the first DVD of Kurogane sitting here to watch. I'll probably do that tomorrow.

I've been thinking about this whole Trent Lott shoving his foot into his mouth and chewing thing lately. Honestly, the entire affair is starting to annoy me. It annoys me how much political hay people are trying to make out of this. Not that I'm defending his gaffe, I'm not. But while thinking about *why* it annoyed me I realized something: segregation was a completely foreign concept to me. My brain tripped over the fact that if this were a century ago I wouldn't be working with everyone I was today. Hell, I WOULDN'T BE WORKING! That just... blew me away.

But... That wasn't such an inconceivable thing to people like Trent Lott. He'd lived in a time when that was a reality. Probing at the thought a bit more... He's a dinosaur, an elderly representation of ideas that no longer ring true, and the death of those ideas will come with his passing. (I'm not saying that all people will reject it, but roll with me here).

As a society we decided that such values were unacceptable to us and sooner or later the last generation who 'actively' held those values will pass away. That won't effectively kill off the idea, but it will hamper its propagation. It's one of those things that cuts both way. Just look at the generations of hate between the Israelis and Palestinians. They didn't pop out of the womb shaking their fists at each other. They were taught to hate each other by their society. Just as we were once taught to segregate our population.

I don't think I'm completely on crack here. And I also don't think that I'm the only one who's been startled when reality's slaps her upside the head. Like, the other day, Hollie and I were chatting and she looked over at the Christmas stockings we had hanging up at work and she blurted out, "There are only 4 girls working here." Yes, that's true, but the thought hadn't occurred to her before. In all that time leading up to it (and afterwards) her co-workers were just *people*, regardless of gender, race, etc. No, there are other standards to judge people as; like smart, helpful, or dumbass.

12.15.02 :: 12:58

I think it would be safe to say that last night rated amongst the five worst I've experienced in recent memory --; It was going well enough. I'd laid down at 11pm and got sucked into watching InuYasha, Cowboy Bebop, and Yu Yu Hakusho, then it went downhill. My stomach started growling and it just wasn't good. I started tossing my cookies, repeatedly >.<! After the third time I called my mom for advice (it was now around 3am). She said she'd come over and get me, she wanted to keep an eye on me until things settled down again (which I was grateful for. I didn't want to be alone anymore >.<)

When my parents arrived they swooped in with SWAT team efficiency o.O; Dad took care of Pepper while mom got me shuffled out to the car. (Pepper's even further on my shitlist now 'cause she stole the bread I was eating, stupid mutt --; ) When they got me to the apartment mom told me that I'd be sleeping on the bed. I told her that I was fine on the couch and then I upchucked again >.< Yeah, so mom had me sucking on these Pepto tablets and sipping 7-up. It took about an hour but my stomach finally settled down enough that I felt safe to go lay down.

I was woken up around 6:30 when I felt a pressure on my feet. Cracking my eyes open I saw ReRun's outline at the foot of the bed. He slowly marched up my shin, knee, thigh, and then he paused. I had my right arm across my stomach with my right hand on my left hip ('clutching' my stomach while sleeping, I suppose). He purposefully crossed from the right side of my body to the left and continued up using my arm as a 'bridge' across my sensitive abdomen. Then he plopped his butt down on my breast bone and leaned over to sniff my face. Once he was satisfied he lept off of me and scurried away. Weird cat...

I don't think I'm going to go see Nemesis today or go to the Christmas party. Even the thought of 'heavy' foods makes me feel queasy right now. Bah, this has been a disgusting waste of a perfectly good 3-day weekend (I get tomorrow off).

12.16.02 :: 21:45

I spent most of today asleep. Yay. It's the most, solid sleep I've gotten in a week. Of course, being asleep meant that I didn't get anything done, but that's okay ^^; When I was awake I was sore and tired. I'm not sure I'll be ready for work tomorrow. I'm going to try, but my guts are starting to rebel again (dammit --; )

I hit my mom up for some Christmas cards. She has an entire box (like, paper box) full of cards o.O; And her cards are better than the ones I sent out already. Wish I'd dug around there first, I would have sent out humorous ones instead of sentimental ones :P There's always next year if I get motivated to send out cards again ^^

I spoke with my brother for a bit this evening. I'm excited about him coming up here for the holiday. It's going to be a messy Christmas. I know for a fact that mom used a garbage sack worth of packing peanuts when she was wrapping gifts. We'll still be finding packing peanuts in July, I'm sure :D

12.18.02 :: 20:00

I'm still not feeling in tip top shape, but I'm going to give work a try tomorrow. I've got to, I've been out too long already because of this stupid flu --;

I went down to the print shop this afternoon to see how things were going. (No matter how much I sleep / rest, I need to get out for a little bit to see what's going on). Dad was sitting at the front counter numbering these meal punch cards. I picked one up (from the unnumbered pile ^^; ) and looked at it, then asked why the ticket said it was good for 20 meals and there were only 10 places for it to be punched. Ah... ^^; Yeah, he was too happy after I found that mistake. He had only 400 more cards to number before he was through and now they needed to redo the entire job (reprint it, cut it to card size, round off the corners, and number it). He was glad that I caught the mistake before the job was delivered to the customer, but that landed me a spot on his shitlist for the day :P

Dad banished me from the print shop and sent me to the paperhouse with my mom. That was kind of neat. I haven't been out there since they moved. Mom was telling me that they have the largest warehouse in town. I can believe it, the place is *huge* O.O; We'd gone out there because mom had a piece of paper that she needed identified. It was neat watching them ID the paper as well ^^ They had this nifty lil gauge that looks like a stopwatch that they used for measuring the weight of the paper (thickness). Then they figured out if it had any coatings on it, the type of paper it was, who the manufacture might have been, etc. That was all before they got to 'trivial' things like matching the color. It took them about 15 minutes, but they got it figured out and mom ordered what she needed ^_^

12.20.02 :: 21:43

I just got back from seeing Star Trek Nemesis with my parents. I didn't expect to go tonight, but they wanted to after I got off work. Alright, I'm game ^^ I liked it. The movie moved along at a nice pace (I semi-dread seeing the Two Towers because I know it's 3 hours and my knees will probably kill me after 1.5). Anyhow, Nemesis once again failed to answer the ever pressing Star Trek question: Who in the universe would insure a ship named "Enterprise"? ;)

Things were busy at work as well. Only one real dimwit today, and I so wish I could *really* answer people's questions sometimes. Not just give them the half-answer that will get me off the hook, but really put them and their 'outrage' in their place :P Today's person was pissed because he thought that once he had a domain name it was his forever and why should he have to renew it after a year? I pointed out that nothing was free and that he'd have to pay to renew it like everyone else on the net. He got indignant about why he was never told. Well, it is common knowledge that you have to pay for these things... He pointed out that it really wasn't that "common" if he didn't know! Everyone has to learn these things somewhere.

*That's* where I wish I could give my real answer instead of a placating one. The placating answer was, "Regardless, do you want the domain name or not?" The *real* answer is, "You're absolutely right! So, until you have a base understanding of the Internet, I'm going to put your account on hold and you can get back to me when you're capable of passing a test that demonstrates a basic level of competence." Ouch. The truth hurts soemtimes...

12.20.02 :: 23:15

Yay! Yay! Yay! Oh my God, YAY! I was in bed and I heard something out in the living room. I thought maybe dad had come over or I was being robbed o.o; And then Nanki came through the bedroom door! :D :D XD He wasn't supposed to be here until the 23rd! [bops around happily] Now I have to calm down enough to go to sleep o.o; Haha, good luck ^^;

12.22.02 :: 23:17

Chia pets, The Two Towers, and Harry Potter, those are the words for the days. The Chia pet is a joke gift. Dave, a co-worker of mine who shaves his head, came by my desk on Friday and I noticed that he hadn't shaved in a couple days. When I pointed it out Lincoln laughed and called him a Chia Dave. I'm sure you can see where this is going ;) I'm going to grow myself a Chia Dave at work.

The family went to see The Two Towers tonight. Um.. I know I'm setting myself up to be beaten by every rabid Tolken fan out there, but the movie really didn't do that much for me ^^; I would have been happy to have only watched the last hour of it and skipping the first two.

The problem, as I see it, is one that it shared with Noir; beautiful artistry, great music, great acting, lousy story. That's not to say that the story itself is bad... I mean, it must have *something* going for it that I'm not getting. Heh, I guess it's like how North American gamers don't seem to get the Dragon Warrior series ;) I've had the books sitting here for months now and I can't seem to get into them. I try and before long I get bored and go onto something infinitely more interesting (like Honor Harrington ;)

12.23.02 :: 20:17

My brother is a closet gamer! Oh sure, he teases me endlessly about my gaming habits, but you get him in front of the PS2 with a game he likes and you're not getting him off. Case in point: on my way to work this morning I get a call from him asking me how to turn the PS2 on. When I get home tonight I found out that he spent from 7am - 3pm playing Harry Potter. And he calls me bad, uh huh...

Mom says that we're going to open Christmas presents tomorrow o.O; I know we've all been pestering her (in a good natured sort of way), but I find it hard to believe that she'd actually give in o.o; That's more unsettling than anything else.

12.24.02 :: 21:00

Nanki woke me up this morning because he wanted to come into my room and play more Harry Potter :P Hehe, he played for a few hours and then we went to Costco and got some hot dogs ^^v This evening was spent with the 'rents. Mom made spaghetti for dinner and then we went out and looked at Christmas lights.

We didn't carry through with opening all the presents tonight. Mom said we could open our stockings, but Nanki and I didn't want to do that (it just wouldn't feel right to open them on Christmas Eve!) Instead we each opened one present. I opened one from Nanki. He bought me a pair of gloves that were like the ones he brought with him that I really liked ^^v (I think he got me a pair of my own so that I'd stop trying to swipe his ^^;;; )

12.25.02 :: 16:13

Merry Christmas everyone! :D Welp, my bro finished the Harry Potter game last night. I knew he had the gamer-gene in him ;) Nanki stayed up 'til 2am watching movies and I stayed up reading Field of Dishonor ^^; When the 'rents called us before 7am to come over we were both out cold. Man, pay-backs are a bitch for all the times as kids that Nanki and I dragged our parents out of bed at the butt-crack of dawn on Christmas morning ^^;

All of us made out like bandits this year [laughs] I scored a GameCube and Animal Crossing, the 4 Silent Mobius books I was missing, and a cassette player for my car ^^ My bro got a new computer, a very nice set of cookware, and a goose down comforter. Dad got a bunch of clothes and DVDs. Mom got all sorts of things [chuckles] A lot of office supplies (she asked for them) and lighthouse items 'cause that's what she collects :) When we unwrap gifts we do it in rounds (each person opens one and then the next round of gifts is done). Mom and dad ended up with many more gifts than Nanki and me, and they were embarrassed to still be unwrapping while we watched them [laughs] S'all good, parents need to be spoiled too, y'know ^^

When Nanki and I got back to the house we set up his computer so that I could begin showing him how to use it. (It's Windows XP and he's never used that before). I know he won't use half the programs I loaded on there, but I showed him the basics of the ones I know he will use. He spent a while tinkering around with his desktop settings and then put in the Harry Potter DVD and watched that while I played Animal Crossing. I like the game, though I think I'd just about done everything I can do today. I picked fruit, gathered shells, planted an orchard by my house, sent some letters to the neighbors, stuff like that. Now I need to wait for my orchard to grow. That's going to be my ticket to paying back the mortgage on my house ^^v

This evening Nanki and I are returning to mom's apartment for dinner. We're having Christmas tacos. [laughs] Mom's an odd one at times when it comes to selecting holiday meals, but it's something the whole family likes so you can't argue with that, eh? :) Pepper still isn't sure what to make of the Christmas stocking filled with toys that I got her this year. From what mom's told me ReRun hasn't shared Pepper's confusion ^^; Mom says ReRun doesn't really play with toys, but he's torn into the toys in his stocking. It's really surprised her.

12.30.02 :: 19:47

I know, I'm a slacker. No blog entries for a few days. Sorry ^^;

My bro has returned safely to Cali (though he was scary enough driving over the pass. Him and another Cali were driving like loons :P ) Elf arrived on Saturday evening. And Adam stopped by for a quick visit last night. In short, I've had a lot of company over the last couple days ^^;

Elf and I have mostly been playing video games. We're both diggin' Animal Crossing. The animals bad talk Elf to me and then they writing me nasty letters ^^; Stuff like "We don't understand you!" "Use smaller words!" and, my personal favorite from Monique, "You're a meanie! Mean mean MEAN!!" Ahhh, to be so loathed by virtual neighbors :) Elf's also been splitting his time between Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat and Lost Kingdom. We were such goobers when we got that game last night. We got it home and were like "uh.. We don't have a memory card ^^;;" Animal Crossing comes with one, but it fills the card o.O;

We were much l33ter than that earlier in the afternoon. I hooked up the digital cable, VCR, PS2, GameCube, Xbox, and DC to the TV in my bedroom (using a switch box thingy to make the connections selectable). Then I hooked up the VCR, SNES, PSX, and NES up to the TV in the living room. The NES wasn't working though =/ I'm hoping that I just need to give the contacts a good cleaning and it'll be fine. Elf's l33tness was hooking up a wireless network (temporary) in the house. When he leaves it goes with him, but it's cool that he got it working ^_^

Let's see... Work was hell today. First, 3 people were on vacation (scheduled), and then 3 people called in sick. Yeah, that cut deep into the number of people answering the phones. Then primary access server had been destroyed by a hacker on Sunday. Like, literally destroyed, they're having a build a new box from scratch =/ So we were going off of the back up access server today, but that was causing problems. The backup wasn't scripted like the primary, so I couldn't get log files off of it, or run a lot of the scripts I usually do during the course of the day. Let's see... Also one of the portmasters (controls the dial up numbers) died. An ice storm took out one of the wireless towers (a wireless tech is going up to the tower tomorrow to repair it). The DHCP server ran out of IPs to assign to DSL customers. And one of the webservers (which hosts Centra) is being a complete pain in the butt (still). In short, it was a very crappy day, bah :P

I'm also having fun participating in the writing tournament Random Insanity's message board is currently hosting. The basic gist of tourney is that you sponsor a character from either a Square, Enix/tri-Ace, or GameArts video game. Then you write within the scenario the hostess sets and battle other characters. During the course of a round you get X number of Attack votes and Y number of Reverse votes (take off an Attack vote). Each day is a different round in a different game location with (possibly) special rules for that location. Since this is my first tourney I signed up to be a sidekick playing Jayle from Valkyrie Profile. I can't win the tourney, but I can't really die either. I can go around and help / hurt whoever I want, but not too much 'cause I have fewer votes than full sponsors. I was so proud of myself. I was the only person to win yesterday's mini-game ^^v The hostess had given a series of events that we had to put into the right order. My guess was that the hostess *had* given us the events in the proper order already, so I just cut and paste the hostess's list and submitted it as my guess, and I was right ^^v

Wai wai! ^^ I fixed the NES last night ^^v I cleaned the cartridge systems and their carts while watching Elf play games. Watch out retro-gaming, here I come ;)

I woke up this morning drenched in sweat (augh, how disgusting..) I had a nightmare about a black widow that'd bit me on the back of my right hand and laid eggs in the wound. I was dreading the hatching of baby spiders 'cause I couldn't get the eggs out of my hand =( I had time to go back to sleep if I wanted to, but I just couldn't =/
