12.02.03 :: 20:23

Apparently X-boxes are bulletproof o.O; And in other disturbing news: A kid in Bend, OR set the world endurance record for DDR during the holiday. 37.5 hours of foot stomping madness. After that, anyone who complains about *my* gaming habits can bite me :P

12.03.03 :: 22:06

I've been watching a lot of anime lately. Tonight I watched RoD TV 13. No spoilers on what happens, but for the record, Maggie kicks ass. I also started watching Prince of Tennis last night. I'm up to episode 9 now. I've tried to explain it to my co-workers, but I can't think of a good way to do it except to shrug and say I like it. I must confess that I'm a fan of sports anime, I guess ^^; I'm still sorting out how I feel about the sempai. They all have quirks and qualities that I like. I thought I'd hate Inui, but he's cool in a scary sort of way and that goes double for Fuji o.O;

I need to finish off that O'Reilly book so I can give it back to my mom. Tomorrow is my Friday, so I have Friday off. Maybe I'll try to finish the book then.

Mom scheduled to have a bug-sprayer guy come by the house and spray for spiders on Friday. One had come by a couple months ago to spray and I hadn't mentioned the number of spiders to my parents... But apparently mom ran across several of them while she and dad were taking care of Pepper over the holiday and she took it upon herself. I appreciate it since I'm no fan of the eight-legged buggers ^^; I have two large ones in my bathtub right now. I figure as long as they stay in the tub and away from the toilet we'll be cool until the bug guy arrives on Friday :P

12.04.03 :: 23:09

I'm taking a short break from finishing the O'Reilly book to blog ^^; (One chapter left). I've got Dragon's Kin sitting here waiting for me. We get to see if Todd McCaffrey can maintain his mother's legacy or if he sucks hardened dragons eggs ¬.¬;; (I'm not holding my breath).

I was flooded with stupid people calls at work =( I mean *really* stupid ones, like a women who wanted to know why her McAfee anti-virus wouldn't allow her to forward a virus to our tech support so we could diagnosis it for her. Another man had multiple cables stringed together with splitters running around 60ft - 100ft in length (couldn't get an exact length from him) and wanted to know why he couldn't maintain a dial up connection (can we say "interference"?) Another woman ran me in circles for a half hour refusing to pay her bill because her service didn't work, but she's never called tech support to get it fixed. According to her it's been broken for two years, she's been dissatisfied for four months, and somehow her son gets on it whenever he wants, but she can't use it. Um, yeah, I'm thinking user error myself...

A co-worker and I have decided that Prince of Tennis shall henceforth be referred to as "Dragonball T" or "DBT" for short. That's because, even in the early series, some matches stretch over multiple episodes and the only meaningful thing that happened during the episode was that a player changed their stance, grip, or technique. Viva DBT! :P

12.05.03 :: 23:23

It was a productive day off. I took Pepper to the groomers in the morning, went home, bug sprayer guy showed up and killed spiders for me :D He saw my sweet workroom layout and asked me if I'd fix his computer for him ^^; I told him how to fix a couple of his problems, but I get the feeling that I'll be seeing his machine at some point 'cause he's a business associate of my mother's. After he left I took a nap 'cause Pepper and I had a rough night last night --; She'd insisted on going outside every two hours. Not fun. Finished napping and I took a package to the post office, picked Pepper up, got mom some lunch, went to the pet store (with Pepper), and then we went home. Pepper was pooped after all the running around we did this afternoon, but I'm sure she enjoyed it :)

I watched Read or Die TV 14 tonight. I won't spoil anything, but my jaw was on the floor during the *entire* episode. Episodes 1 - 13 were just fluff compared to the story explosion that happened in 14. I'm especially jazzed by it because it answered many of the lingering questions I had about the OVA. I *never* expected that to happen. I mean, wow, it came out of left field and hit me right between the eyes. I'm digging it!

I started Dragon's Kin. I should reserve judgment until I've read more of it, but so far I'm not enjoying the structure of the story. (Which is what a lot of my dissatisfaction with Rowling's work revolves around). The way Anne writes is meandering with mini-climaxes and important scenes sprinkled throughout the narrative. Todd's writing is like a child rushing from important event to important event with the kid jumping up and down and pointing at it. So far it seems to lack a rhythm that a reader can slide into and flow with. Maybe he catches his stride later on in the book...

12.06.03 :: 23:36

Had to work today, oh well. I got some reading done between calls and introduced Lincoln to the goodness of Dynasty Warriors 3. I had one woman who called to complain that she had to do an extra click to get to a page she wanted off the company website. *One* extra click. I filled out a trouble ticket and submitted it to the webmaster. I'm sure he'll laugh and hand it back to me :P

The high point of my day was my bro calling. I'd left him a message yesterday telling him what an adventurous day Pepper had. That'd brightened his day ^^ Speaking of the mutt.. she's currently curled up on my bed, under the blankets, snoring. I let her get away with too much...

I'm going Christmas shopping with mom tomorrow. Jeffy was supposed to join us, but he can't make it. Homework calls. Suck. I'm glad I don't have to go through that ^^; I don't miss how much hard work school was ^^;

12.07.03 :: 11:05

Quick update before mom picks me up for shopping. TheKid made a Read or Die wallpaper that I've changed Baku to ^^v (I need to update my wallpaper on my work computer as well. Should have done that yesterday... ^^; )

12.07.03 :: 21:53

Heh, I'm surprised that mom got tired of shopping before I did, especially considering that she was dragging me around the mall looking for a formal dress for her ^^; I picked up a couple more gifts for each member of my family. I haven't quite gotten everything I want for mom or dad yet, but my bro's taken care of. Amongst other things I bought him a road atlas for California so he'll stop calling me to MapQuest things for him while he's driving :P (I doubt the atlas will stop him from doing that, but I can hope :P )

I don't like the feel of Sunday nights before bed. I always feel like I've wasted the weekend away even though the point of a weekend is to rest (even if I did work this weekend ^^; ) I dunno, I just don't like Sunday nights or the Monday mornings that follow them...

12.08.03 :: 22:28

Been watching more DBT. Highlight of episode 14: Fuji opened his eyes. Gotta love sports anime ;)

12.09.03 :: 06:37

I stayed up too late watching DBT @.@; Still in the midst of this tournament arc. I think if we cut out all the flashbacks and recaps from previous matches the episodes would only be 12:00 - 15:00 minutes long ^^; (An honest estimate since the eps are 22:00 minutes long, 1:30 ~ 2:00 of the first minutes are used for preview of the ep and opening theme, then 1:30 at the end is used for closing and preview for the next ep. So you're losing 3:00 ~ 3:30 every episode to begin with. Down to 19:00 minutes and then they recap and flashback in the episodes themselves :P )

Pepper has discovered the goodness of laying in front of the space heater. On the other hand, Pickles starts bawling her head off whenever I turn it on (I don't think she likes the noise). It's a 2-to-1 vote on the space heater, cat, you lose. [Punts Pickles back outside where she can enjoy her lack of warmness :P ]

12.09.03 :: 23:29

Episode 20 of DBT finished the tournament arc, finally ^^; I'm not saying that it was bad, but it was, like, 9 episodes @.@; Talk about stretching out a day in anime time :P I can see how this series is over 100 eps at this rate :P

Blech, I did work at home tonight. I was configuring Aunt Ginny's sister's computer (and no, she's not related to me) and doing work email. I'm not finished with the computer yet, but I figure that if I do a bit each night I'll have it done by this weekend. (Plus I still need to find some discs. Half my stuff is still in boxes from this summer ^^; )

12.11.03 :: 21:34

I posted this to my LJ earlier today. I want it in this journal too since this is where I log stuff that I want to remember ;)

The admins and I went to lunch at Papa John's today. The guy behind the counter was singing theme songs to 70's sitcoms and yelling out quotes while working. One quote he yelled out was like, "My daddy told me that woman are the devil!"

At our table I dryly replied, "That's right, we're Satan's handmaidens. In fact, when I get off work this evening I'm going over to his place to give him a blow job."

Jim was like, "O.O;!!!!"

And Dave replied wryly, "I've always wondered why they were called handmaidens and now I know..."

Simply put, work was hell today. At least five unrelated networks went down within 10 minutes of each other. I don't think there was anything nefarious about what happened. The causes were too random and the areas that they happened in too far apart, but it certainly made for a crappy morning. I hope tomorrow's better ^^;

12.11.03 :: 22:36

Just for the record; episodes 22 and 23 of DBT are high points in the series for me so far. They're funny (though not outrageously so). And it's rare to see who humorous "filler" type episodes in a row. They're nice fluff ^^

12.14.03 :: 21:24

Drafting for Survivor XII began Saturday. I drafted Katsumi, as expected :) Saturday I finished her introduction and this morning I did her description. I'm taking a bit of liberty with her. First, I'm taking Katsumi as she is from the first few books (before all the Bad Shit happens to her), and I'm playing her character flaws more heavily than they're used in the manga (her immaturity being a key one). Anyhow, a lot of people have signed up so far, like, 40 o.O; That's a lot of competition, yo ^^;

I'm up to episode 35 of DBT. I'm in the middle of a big tournament arc right now. At the rate it's going I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being 12 or more episodes :P

I can tell you right now that tomorrow is going to be a rotten day at work. There were some major network problems this weekend and the solutions put in place are stopgap ones =/ Not going to know the full extent of things until I get in there tomorrow, but if I'm grumpy or tired, you know why :P

12.15.03 :: 06:39

I was wrong. The tourney arc ended suddenly with ep 36 o.O; Anyhow... Whoever the hell called me at 6:25am this morning needs to be beaten >=(

I had a dream about Legend of Zelda. I dreamt that Nintendo was prompting the collector's disc they were giving away by having six different movies in the theatres. The disc was a patch you could run on LoZ that gave Link the ability to use six jobs and he could change clothes and stuff. And the movies were a walkthrough of each new job, showing you how to use it and where some cool new stuff was hidden. What makes the movies even weirder is that the theatre posters showed the Muppets dressed up in the LoZ costumes. Miss Piggy was a Healer type and Kermit was dressed at the traditional Link o.O;

I'd gone to the theatre with my bro and another person. Of course, they didn't want to see the LoZ movies (I'd planned on seeing two different ones that night). We missed the first LoZ movie, so myself and the other person had gone in to watch this chick flick. My bro didn't show and I was getting worried, so I left the theatre to look for him. He'd gotten into some trouble by some bullies and was trying to get home where it'd be safe. My parents were out looking for him too, but they knew where he was and told me not to worry. Weird dream. I liked the LoZ part though ^^;

12.15.03 :: 15:53

Blech, I got a migraine at work this morning and it crushed me. I only get migraines a couple times a year and usually I can stop them before they get to the headache stage. It starts with me seeing spots until it's to the point where I can't see anything, my vision's too obscured. Then my vision will clear up and the headache sits on me like an elephant. If I take some migraine strength meds while in the early spots stage the headache can be averted. I didn't take them soon enough this morning =/ I started seeing spots mid-way through the commute to work and by the time I got to work and could take some my vision was mostly obscured =/

I tried to shake it off, but I couldn't. The pain had me in tears. I felt bad not just because of the pain but because I knew that I was needed. I tried to work through a couple of the tickets that were opened, but I couldn't concentrate =/ The network problems were bad, but not as bad as I'd anticipated. They were nothing that patience and persistence couldn't work through. I couldn't muster either of those qualities right then.

Once the pain receded enough that I could drive safely I went home and went to bed. I slept for a solid four hours before making myself get up. I was all groggy and disorientated. I'm less groggy now, but my eyes are burning and feel sensitive to light. I don't think I'll spend much time in front of the computer tonight.

[Kicks migraines in the head] I feel bad for people who get them on a regular basis =/

12.16.03 :: 22:44

After a somewhat aggravating day at work (the same guy kept calling every half hour asking the same question that I gave him the same answer to --; ) I decided that I needed to veg tonight. I logged into FFXI to play for the first time since Thanksgiving. Wow, there was a lot of patching to do ^^; I took some screen caps of the holiday decorations. I'll post them tomorrow or something ^^; My monk is level 15 now and made some headway towards 16. I want to get a subjob. I get the feeling that the game will be a lot more fun once I hit that point.

Oh, thing about me that you may not know that became very obvious today: I get angry / extremely frustrated when I ask a question and I'm give a brush off answer. Angry, as in, I'll punch my fist into the wall type angry. I didn't do that, but I was hot enough that I could have. Just fair warning that there are times to not be a smartass with me ^^;

12.17.03 :: 23:24

Another crap day at work. I'm beginning to wonder how many of them in a row I can have before I lose my mind (I've come close a couple times already...) The icing on the cake was a customer who insisted that he was entering his password with a lower case zero. Um... sure. Played some FFXI tonight to kill stress (and monsters). Made it to level 17 and got one of the items I need for the sub-job quest. I hear the other two items are a pain in the butt to get. Oh well...

I'm dodging around the issue of what's on my mind. I feel like I'm being buried in other people's emotional baggage. They turn to me to solve their problems and never stop to ask if I have problems of my own. I guess I can't draw the line 'cause the people who really care will stop asking me to help when they're the ones I want to help the most. It's the 'takers' that are draining my energy, and not those who realize friendship is a two-way street. I feel bad, and fear, that I treat some of my own friends poorly. Like I'm taking their friendship without ever saying how much I appreciate what they offer. I'm grateful for what I'm given. Thank you.

I'm not sure that makes sense. Maybe I need to sleep on it.

12.18.03 :: 23:46

It was a very successful night of item hunting in FFXI ^^ All the credit for that goes to Sylf's friend who was a high level Paladin and whacked monsters while we took the items we needed ^^; I'm happy to say that I'm a level 16 Monk that has all the items she needs for the subjob quest at level 18 :D As soon as I hit that level I'm running off to turn 'em in and get subjobs, yay!

I've started reading the last book of Silent Mobius. All I can say is: whoa, Lebia's breasts got bigger while she was knocked out for the count in the last couple books :P I'm sure I'll have something more intelligent to say tomorrow after I've finished reading it ^^

Weird thing I saw today: A butcher truck passed me on the freeway this morning and the slogan on the truck was "We've got time to kill!" XD They offered customer killing, cutting, and wrapping of your livestock. How many different (productive) ways are there to kill a cow? :P I've witnessed more than a few cattle meeting their end, and there's very little technique that goes into it ^^; The cows are too stupid to understand that the reason the one RIGHT NEXT TO THEM isn't standing anymore is because it was shot in the head. It's sad, really =/

12.20.03 :: 00:03

I successfully wasted my day off playing FFXI ^^; (For like, 9 hours total. I didn't get much else done today ^^; ) I just got my character up to level 17, which is amazing considering how much putzing around I did today. For a while I was just sitting in the hull of the boat riding it around until they kicked me off, then I'd board again and ride some more :P I'm also trying to get used to playing in parties more. It was okay doing it today, but I was gaining experience just as well on my own (I might even say better since I gained about 900 exp in an hour by myself :P ) I'm one level away from my subjobs @.@ I ran around San d'Oria (not my hometown) signing up for guilds and accepting stupid quests to do. That should keep me busy when I'm not bashing on monsters :P

Let's see, I also read the Silent Mobius book (what I was doing while riding the ship around). Blech. It answered, like, none of my questions and inspired more --; The artwork in the last book is very nice. The character designs are definitely refined by this point (a vast difference from how they are in the first book).

I went to look at Christmas lights with my folks this evening. We spent about four hours doing that ^^; Grants Pass has the pants beat off of Medford when it comes to community displays. If I remember to take my camera with me tomorrow I'll take some pictures of the Grants Pass decorations and post them. Heh, and I'd say that the people of Rogue River have a thing for blow up dolls considering the number of Santas, Snowmen, Polar Bears, and various other inflatable icons that were on display. They must have cleaned out Costco *and* Target to have gotten them all o.O;

12.21.03 :: 23:40

I'm pissed and hungry, not a good combination. They go together because this is the third time this week I've fucked up what I was trying to cook and got something that was inedible as a result. Y'know what's bad? I was cooking *ramen* and messed it up --; (The end result was some very nasty tasting noodles =/ ) I've also screwed up pizza and pot pies this week. Both of those things are simple and I'm well practiced in making. (I only worked at a pizza parlor for, what, three years? ) This is really getting on my nerves --;

This isn't how things were supposed to be tonight. I'd made arrangements with my parents to go over to their place and have sloppy joes for dinner, I'd bring the ingredients. I had to go to two different markets to get everything. Went over there and only dad was there. Mom decided that she was going to work late tonight and called off dinner. I was so disappointed --; Dad wanted me to cook dinner instead but the only instructions I had were the three lines off the back of the seasoning package. Considering my current luck do you think having me cook dinner with a non-existent recipe would be a good idea? I told him to forget it and left.

I took a picture of one of the holiday displays in Grants Pass. The building has a tall facade on the face of it. The legs of the reindeer are going down the facade while the heads are coming up from the roof and go 20-30ft above the roof of the building. It's really eyecatching. I took a larger picture of it and made it into my mom's wallpaper. (It's one of her favorite displays).

12.22.03 :: 06:34

I had a dream this morning that I was playing a Shenmue-like game, but it was more than Shenmue. This game was time sensitive to when you played it (like Animal Crossing) and it wasn't a very long game in total (20 to 30 hours). The graphics were also amazing, lifelike, better than anything we've got today. It was an Xbox game. The point of the game wasn't about killing monsters or doing puzzles, it was to tell a story. I'm foggy on what exactly the story was, but I remember that I was near the end of the game.

In the game I was a high school kid with a lot of emotional baggage / memories. I keep wanting to say that the character was Squall-like and the school was a Garden, but neither looked like it. The main thing I remember is that behind the school was a waterway / river / stream system that you could take a raft down. It wasn't very dangerous to maneuver and the system was like that of FF6 (criss crossing streams that lead into each other and impossible to get stuck or lost). This was important because while rafting you could enter a code that would allow you to see a flashback of the Squall-character's life and that's how you got a lot of the story. During the dream I spent a lot of time there. The water was so beautiful and so real that you could feel the wetness of it.

Ah well, I've probably been playing too many video games lately ^^;

12.23.03 :: 06:37

Another weird dream time! I dreamt that I was getting ready for work on a nice summer morning (it had to be summer because it was light out and warm when I was getting ready). I was putzing about my room when I heard a loud thud come from the back half of the house. I reached under the bed for the weapon I keep there in case I have to investigate such things and went back there to look. Out the back window I saw a baby elephant ramming its head up against the garage. I was stunned.

I returned to the front half of the house and called 911. When I explained the problem the woman on the phone told me that I shouldn't have called; elephants were perfectly normal. I yelled at her that elephants *were not* native to southern Oregon and I expected someone to come out and take care of it. No one did.

The baby elephant had caught sight of me when I'd gone to investigate and put its efforts into trying to enter the house. What kind of chance did I have of keeping a determined elephant out? None. So I hid myself in the back bathroom, which happened to have developed a few more doors in the entrance ways than are there normally. (There are places where there could be doors, but aren't).

The elephant got into the house and started looking for me. It started knocking down the doors even though they were locked. It got to the final bathroom door, stuck its trunk under the doorway, smelled me, and then squeezed its entire body under the door o.O I was sitting on the toilet and the elephant was sitting right in front of me. I hesitantly put my hand out and scratched its head. The elephant was very soft and gummy-like (that's how it got under the doorway).

That was part one of the dream. There is a second part where, a few weeks later, it all happened again with the same elephant plus its two parents. The police still wouldn't come out to my house and I didn't want a new pet :P Anyhow, I gotta get ready for work. Hopefully there are no elephants waiting for me in the kitchen :P

12.24.03 :: 20:49

I've had quite an exciting Christmas Eve. I stayed up way too late (2am) this morning playing FFXI with Nif and Tearyn ^^; Nif was very kind and helped me get my level up to 18, finally! Tearyn then led us around so that we could complete Mission 4. That was great :) I'd been stuck on that one ^^;

I was up and moving at 6:30am for work. Thankfully it was a quiet day. We had a skeleton crew at work. I told the other techs that I'd let one of them leave early today and they could decide amongst themselves who could go. That worked out well. I ended up staying late. I got stuck on an hour long call and didn't want to give up since no tech support would be around until Saturday. We got the guy's problem fixed, yay :)

After work I went home and took a nap. I was so tired ^^; I then went to my parents' place. We've watched a couple movies tonight (Bruce Almighty and the first Harry Potter movie) and they let me open a present early =) I got Knights of the Old Republic, wai ^^ Dad's also had me working on his computer getting it updated and all. Thus I snuck over to my LJ while downloading Windows patches ;)

I hope everyone has a great holiday. Be safe if you're traveling and don't do too many evil things to younger siblings! :D

12.25.03 :: 20:46

Another busy day that began way too early ^^; My parents come out to the living room (where I was sleeping on the couch) around 6:30am to begin the Christmas festivities. I cleaned up some and then called my brother while opening my stocking =D He didn't answer though =/

We then moved along to the presents and I made out like a bandit ^^; I got a lot of games, DVDs, shirts, and some useful things like a George Foreman grill (my grandmother still holds hope that I'll cook *something* successfully ^^; ) My mom was paranoid that I'd guess what all my gifts were if she just wrapped them, so she got largish boxes, filled them with peanuts and heavy items, and stuffed the DVD in there :P So I also ended up with stuff like a gallon of windshield wiper fluid and a litre of Scope :P

My dad and I kept trying to call my bro while opening presents, but he wasn't answering. We didn't hear from him until he called us around 9am. He'd purposefully unplugged the phone 'cause he knew we'd try to wake him up early :P He really liked his gifts ^^ He asked if I was trying to tell him something by giving him a road atlas to California. Uh yeah, stop calling me to be your personal MapQuest :P He also got his dig in as well with his gift to me. A couple months ago he'd called me for help with Golden Sun: The Lost Age. I'd never played it and told him that if he was stuck, buy a guide or send the game to me and I'll play it. Guess what he did? :P Though he'd beaten the game and he sent along the guide he bought after I couldn't help him :P

After we opened presents I was pretty pooped ^^; I curled back up on the couch and fell asleep :P Mom and dad thought that was a pretty good idea and they took a nap as well. We woke up around 11am, at which time we cleaned up some and I ran home to take care of Pepper. I'm surprise (and grateful) at how good she'd been while the holiday schedule has things up in the air. We played outside for a while with Murphy so that she could stretch her legs. Yeah, I'm just flabbergasted that she hasn't had any accidents yet ^^;

My parents wanted to go see Return of the King this evening. I went online and bought us tickets. (Most of the showings were already sold out o.o ) My impressions of the movie would probably get me flamed by a fanboy. I didn't dislike it, but I didn't like it either. I found myself checking my watch every half hour wishing it were going faster. And my butt went numb about half way through the movie. It's *still* numb as a matter of fact. I was just... bored during most of the film (and series, for that matter). I have no emotional attachment to the characters and only a passing interest in their struggle. Oh well, I'll toss it on the same pile as the Potter books ^^;

Speaking of books, I finished Dragon's Kin. That one can go straight to the recycle bin --; What a waste of paper =/ There were elements of *Anne's* writing charm, but only faint echoes of them. There was no connecting with these character either. Doesn't Todd understand that reader empathy with the character is what drives his mother's books? They're not very deep, and only rarely are the stories a complex tapestry of plot lines. (You never say "Oh my God, I never saw *that* coming!" while reading one of her books.) It's the *characters* that drive the stories and Todd's were wooden cutouts. What a pity =/

I'm considering dropping out of Survivor XII. I've got a lot on my plate right now and I don't really understand the rules for this one. That and I haven't been able to get my mindset ready for Katsumi or the tourney =/

12.27.03 :: 02:08

Welp, I dropped out of Survivor XII. I scanned through the first round and just couldn't think of anything to write. Even worse than that, it felt like I was gazing over foreign words for as much meaning as they held for me. I guess my writing mojo is in the negatives right now =/

I played too much FFXI today between other things. They're having an event go on right now where you battle these big trees, which are a lot faster than you'd think a tree could be, btw. Here are some pictures of it. I also started working on Beanie's staff and dagger weapon levels. I took staff from 0 to 31 this evening. Dagger I'd just started when Square-Enix announced emergency server maintenance on the zones that contain the event monsters [laughs]. The damn monsters are invincible as far as players have been able to tell ^^; No matter what we threw at them, even if there were dozens of us, the monsters weren't taking any damage. That's just messed up.

On to more serious things... My dad's surgery went well. He had some growths removed from under his skin on his neck and face (trust me, it was as disgusting as it sounds). I went up to the apartment to check on his this afternoon and he's doing fine.

Hrm, as bad as this may sound... The one thing I wanted the most for Christmas was to be left alone for a few days without having to "fix" other people's problems. (Computer problems, relationship problems, etc.) Well, I haven't really gotten that yet. So if I'm not on IM for a few days, it's nothing personal. I just need a break, yo.

Oh! Because of the weekend holiday scheduling at work I get Monday off and Thursday off. So that means I get 5.5 days off in a row. It's bad that I keep thinking and feeling like I have to go to work tomorrow. Right now I feel like I've been a bad bean who's blithely ignored the fact that she has to be up in 4 hours. I don't, thank goodness, but that's what I feel like ^^;

I think I'm still feeling out of sorts. I did a heckuva lotta work around the house even though I didn't mean to. Mrh, I must be weird, but I find some housework to be relaxing (like laundry and dishes) so I did those types of things. I've got things cleaned up from the holiday and have sent out all but one thank you note. In other words, I'm surprisingly ahead of myself ^^;

Between cleaning spurts I played FFXI. I've been running around trying to raise my sword and dagger level, and my regular level as well while I'm at it. For the first time today I crafted myself a piece of armor made entirely of items I won off of monsters (I didn't have to put out any gil to get it) :D Of course, it's a crappy piece of armor, but it was free darn it!

After I eat dinner I think I'll take a nap (or just flat out go to bed). Either that or I'll watch some more anime. The music from San d'Oria is starting to grate on my nerves ^^;

All I want to do is sleep some and that's so not happening -.-; I went to bed around 1am after I took a nap yesterday evening. At 4:55am Pickles woke me up 'cause she wanted to go outside. At 9:30am my parents woke me up 'cause they wanted to get some breakfast. At 11:30am Adam woke me up 'cause he's coming down here today to visit. At 12:30pm Pickles woke me up again because she wanted to cuddle and I haven't gotten back to sleep since. Pepper's been laying on the floor (even though I'd put her on the bed initially) huffing about Pickles since I let her in the room. Blech, no nap for bean.

Adam's going to be here sometime this afternoon. This is good. Usually we have fun talking, geeking, and playing games. I probably won't play more FFXI while he's around, but there are plenty of other things to play. Maybe I'll ask him to help me get a good start on Silent Hill 3.
