Today's been pretty nice and relaxing. Adam's played a lot of Disgaea and I napped ^^;v We also went to the mall and puttered about some :) He's going to be spending an extra night here. (I have Internet access and his mother doesn't, we're such geeks! ^o^ )

I've had some disturbing dreams lately, but not like my usual "blood smeared across the wall" type dreams. These are hitting closer to home and have been revolving around a friend I haven't spoken with since high school. I wonder if it's God's way of telling me to contact her. I could do it if I really wanted to. I don't know...

The Best and Worst of 2003

Best Anime: Haibane Renmei (I'm reserving Read or Die TV as the 2004 winner)
Best Movie: X2
Worst Movie: Daredevil (Only because I think Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever was released in 2002)
Best CD: Fiction - Yuki Kajiura (Do yourself a favor and buy this CD, trust me, you'll love it)
Best Book: War of Honor - David Weber
Worst Book: Dragon's Kin - Todd McCaffrey
Best Game: Suikoden III (a very tough choice, but the storytelling pushes it over the top)
Worst Game: UNLIMITED Saga (you should be ashamed of yourself, Square-Enix!)

Highlights of 2003

My great grandmother Olive died at 100 (I think, she was close to that). Lincoln's wife gave birth to their first son, Fox. I went some exciting places; Toronto for AN, LA for E3, Disneyland, and Kumoricon. It was a dream come true for me to go to E3. I'm really grateful for the opportunity. My greatest accomplishments this year have been to finish Sowing the SeeDs and making it to the finals in RT:L. I guess I should count my promotion as an accomplishment as well, but that also meant more work :P There has been bad stuff, but I'm not going to go into it. The new year is for looking ahead, so I'm going to try to do that.

01.01.04 :: 20:26

The first day of the year has been filled with much gaming. I played FFX-2 and got the Trainer Sphere. I haven't tried it yet, I'm totally in love with the Berserker Sphere. Paine does an insane amount of damage and just keeps hitting *_*

There's been some car stuff going on here. First, I was quite surprised when I checked yesterday's mail and had received a parking ticket on a vehicle I haven't driven in 3 months o.O; I gave the ticket to my father to have him take care of it (he was the one driving the car). Also, dad came by this evening because he's selling one of the cars that's sitting in the driveway taking up space. Yay, I'll have more room to park now ^^;

01.03.04 :: 08:16

Adam came by my place again ^^; I'd called him 'cause he'd left a lot of things here and I offered to ship them to him. Instead of that he came back and picked them up, then stayed the night.

I took him and my dad out to dinner at Red Robin (my mom hates burgers ^^; ) Dad and Adam talked for *four hours*, I kid you not. I sat there like a lump on a log, which I tend to do when in a conversation involving more than one other person :P When it became obvious that they weren't going anywhere for a while I ordered myself a milkshake and amused myself with that, hehe. It's all good. I know both Adam and dad enjoyed the conversation, and it was interesting to listen to.

While walking out to my car I noticed that it was looking a bit lopsided. I walked around it to check the tires and one of them was flat --; So Adam and dad changed my tire. (Mostly Adam, who took a helluva lotta razing from my dad. Were I Adam, I probably would have dropped the tire on dad's foot to shut him up :P ) With the tire off dad noticed that I *seriously* need new brakes. Blech. On the plus side, dad's agreed to pay for the repairs this time 'cause I paid for new tires a few months ago ^_^ (My family freely shares vehicles, so we also share repair cost regardless of which vehicle actually belongs to us. It works out well :)

Adam's going to take me to work this morning and my parents are going to pick me up this evening. It's really nice of all of them considering how far away work is ^^; (None of this across town crap, I work in another county after all :P )

01.03.04 :: 22:10

I have crappy luck. I got home from work this evening to find that the spare tire on my car was flat :P I've had two flat tires in two days. Get the feeling God doesn't want me to drive anywhere? ^^; No matter. Sunday is the day for resting anyways, I can spend it at home quite easily.

The most incredibly stupid thing happened at work this evening. Qwest shut off the outbound long distance calling to our office. ... I WORK FOR A COMPETING PHONE COMPANY AND QWEST TURNED OFF *OUR* PHONES! I'm sure it was just a clerical mistake since there was no mention of billing being involved. I've long ago learned that Qwest is too big of a company to go out of its way to screw any one person, it screws everyone indiscriminately. It just means I'm going to have one hell of a day on Monday 'cause I can't do call backs --;
