| Commentary: This video had my jaw on the desk the first time I saw it, and not just because Utada Hikaru is hot. Well... You'll see what I mean... Anyhow, the song is great. Utada really knows how to make the most of her hips. This is one of my favorite J-pop videos. It'd be nice if MTV or VH1 aired more vids like this one. |
| The video consists of 3 threads: Utada dancing (above), the robot moping about, and the robot fantasizing. |
Here's Robo the Wonderbot. It's the male lead in this video. (My eyes immediately zoomed in on his long and pointy nose). |
| [Empty] Robo is looking around the bedroom and notices that Utada is missing. |
[Photo...] And this video takes a disturbing turn for the worse. |
| [Not found] Yep, you're grasping the obvious there, Skippy, she really is gone. |
Stop moping around, ya big lug. Why not fantasize about her? |
| [Playback] Well, if no man has what it takes... |
[On] See? There she is! On the TV! (Notice the red model car on the left). |
| Robo's shaking his boo-tey to Utada's sweet tunes. |
"AH! I need to fire my agent for this horrible turn in my career!" |
| So these are the types of fantasies robots have... o.O; |
Keep your eyes on the road. You're gonna crash! We're all gonna die AHHHH! |
| Utada has to give Robo directions 'cause it's not tall enough to see over the dashboard and reach the pedals at the same time... |
"Someone, please help me! I'm stuck in this weird robot's fantasies! |
| Utada returns home and is friendly with the 'bot. (Sorry, no images 'cause Media Play is the spawn of Satan). Utada sits down on the couch and then goes motionless... The screen says [Low Battery]. |
Blast! Batteries not included. And she's an odd size too! Doesn't Rat Shake make an AC adapter for J-pop idols? |
| "Don't just stand there grinnin', numbnut, plug me in!" |
We can keep a secret ;) |
